Recently, I had to say goodbye to a lovely lady I had come to know very well. It was one of those bittersweet moments that quietly stays with you.
As tears filled her eyes, she said, “You know when someone comes into your life…”
Without thinking, I gently replied, “…and leaves footprints on your heart.”
She stopped, held my hand, and repeated the words softly.
There was not a dry eye.
